The Children’s Society Good Childhood Report highlights key challenges though:

⚠️Average happiness with life among 10 to 15 year olds in the UK continues to decline.

With #WorldWellBeingWeek slowly drawing to a close we shone the light on our social, emotional, physical and mental wellbeing by incorporating various activities and strategies in the kids & teen yoga class:
🌟FOCUS: on sounds & sights took us out of our busy minds
🌟BREATHE: explored different breaths and the effects on our body & mind.
🌟MOVE: #summersolstice as back-drop, movement was all about abdominal muscles: our very CORE, centre of our being, tapping into self-confidence, strength and willpower.
🌟CONNECT: by making our own MUSIC. Music as integral part of our lives (#worldmusicday)
🌟LEARN: every day is an opportunity: curiosity, self-esteem and a sense a fulfilment
🌟RELAX: decreasing the effects of stress on body & mind.
🔥The HATHA yoga classes – with the start of summer – incorporated the transformative element of FIRE, celebrating light, energy and the warmth of the sun.
🔥Subtle deep core strengthening practices as well as focus on core stabilizer muscles improve posture, movement and functionality.
🔥FIRE as the element of personal transformation & AIR in the form of the breath created the alchemical dynamic to ignite passion, purpose and self-confidence to burn away the parts of ourselves that no longer serves us in our adventurous journey through life.
